It wasn't going to all go his way though as the rain began to fall before
the start and a fast decision had to be made on which tyres to use; wets
or slicks. The team plumped for slicks which was the wrong decision in the
end as the rain came down and half the grid including Oliver struggled round
gamely but he could only manage 13th. Final 2 was going to be a whole different ball game as the sun came out and everyone was on slicks. Oliver stormed through the pack with Harvey and after 5 laps it was Joyner, Harvey and Rowland at the front pulling away from the chasing bunch. The remaining 15 laps treated the crowd to a scintillating race with all three drivers taking turns leading. Oliver passed Harvey for the lead in the move of the race into Billy's Blind corner diving sideways up the inside of the No.1 kart in a breathtaking move. His lead didn't last however and at the flag it was Harvey followed by Joyner and Rowland. Oliver may not have won the battle but he certainly won the war with his 3rd place enough to give him the British Championship title by 30 points. A nice sporting touch after the race with Jack Harvey tearing the No.1 plate off his kart and placing it on Oliver's. Congratulations Oliver! |

| NICK
CRISTOFARO Nick didn't have much luck during the weekend after a decidedly average qualifying session he had 12th and 10th in the heats but disaster struck in the 1st final. Delaying his tyre decision too long was to prove costly as he wasn't allowed to take his place on the grid and consequently didn't even start the race. Starting near the back for final 2 wasn't the ideal place but Nick stormed through to take 13th at the flag. Not a bad save from a bad position! |

| THOMAS
BALMER Some guys have all the luck, sadly Thomas had none whatsoever. Heats of 11th and 13th were OK, but Thomas fell foul of the weather in final 1 and didn't make the grid. This was compounded by a DNF in final 2 so all in all it was a pretty dismal day for Thomas. Another disappointing end to the season the results didn't show the speed he certainly has, but it will be all systems go for the winter series where Thomas will be racing the new KF3 engines. |

JIRI FORMAN Jiri had a nightmare of epic proportions at Clay after being disqualified in heat 1 for overtaking under a yellow and being taken out in heat 2 but finishing 13th. Final 1 was the wet/dry nightmare and Jiri struggled round to claim 19th and final 2 he didn't finish due to an accident. It was a disappointing finish to his Super 1 season after showing superb speed at times and especially in Europe. Jiri will be competing at the Monaco Cup in October where we expect him to go very well! |

| KABIR
GILLANI Kabir improved dramatically this weekend with some excellent results. 14th place in both heats secured a reasonable starting position and he made the most of it in final 1 with a superb 10th place. Unfortunately, Kabir got involved in an accident and didn't finish the second final. Still, a really good day and well done. |

| TREVYN
JAY-NELSON TREVYN-JAY NELSON With many of our other drivers having problems, Trevyn brought a smile to all our faces with an absolutely outstanding drive in the final. T-J looked good right from the off with heats of 6th, 17th and 7th but he produced a stunning drive in the final. Alex Albon, Hazz Truelove, Jamie Dzyra and T-J simply drove away from the field and had the mother and father of all battles to win this race. At one point, late in the race Trevyn passed Albon for the lead much to the delight of his parents and team. Unfortunately, during the battle one of his tyre valves was ripped out leading to flat tyre on the very last lap. 4th place at the flag was a wonderful result despite the flat tyre. Well done on your best result to date! |

ALFONSO SKRICZKA Another driver who lady luck seems to have abandoned is Alfonso. Had a distinctly average weekend with heats of 18th, 27th and 20th. Alfonso seemed to have a magnet for other peoples accidents. In the final, the track dried very quickly and although all the drivers were out on wets, tyre pressures were key to this race and sadly, Alfonso had them wrong. Compounded by having to use brand new sticker wets on a dry track, this meant that he could only manage 22nd place. However, this result meant he finished 14th in the Super 1 championship to go along with his 15th in the British Championship. Two series, two seeded numbers, not bad for a first attempt! Well done Alfonso. |
